Some dive right in, others just dip their toes. Come on, jump in! It’s KDUR, volunteerpowered
community radio. Belly flop, float, hit rock bottom, or meander with the music.
Whatever your style, KDUR has programming to match it. We’re celebrating 36 years
this year, growing better with age – maybe wiser, definitely more technologically savvy,
and always offering something new.
Whether you are a listener or DJ, KDUR is constantly changing – from the independent
music played by a diversity of DJs to our alternative news and public affairs
programming. It is this biodiversity that makes KDUR as unique and nourishing as the
Animas River flowing through the veins of our community, reflecting back who we are
today, which may be different tomorrow.
Sit by our side and listen, tap your foot, dance, be inspired or even outraged. Like the
river, we’re always there for you to tune-in and pay attention. KDUR is now part of the
Ballantine Media Center on the Fort Lewis College campus. The future is bright for
KDUR to be collaborating with other campus media partners to produce even more
diverse programming.
KDUR offers a lot, and we’re thrilled to be broadcasting digitally at 6,000 watts. We’re
heard in Hesperus and Bondad, from Bayfield to Coal Bank Pass. Fully moving into
the 21st century, if you can’t get us on your old-fashioned radio, you can pick up
KDUR online and on your smart phone. Radio is the web. We’re on it, getting with the
program. Won’t you too? Tune in today.
